As reviews for the Netflix film hit (and they’re not good!), the streamer announces they’ll be doing a “Bright” sequel.
The film, directed by David Ayer, is set in a future Los Angeles where orcs and magic are commonplace – Will Smith plays an LAPD cop who is partnered with the first ever orc to join the force, played by Joel Edgerton. Critics have been less than kind to the film, many claiming the big-budget actioner is one of the year’s worst.
Despite the pooh-poohing, Netflix seem convinced it’ll garner good numbers with Bloomberg posting that “the company has already ordered a sequel with [Will] Smith signed on”.
