Nip/Tuck : The Complete Fourth Season (DVD)

Your 16, horny and without a fake I.D. Solution? Don’t even bother trying to deepen your voice and embarrassingly hire a real porn – it’s not worth the effort, not with just-as-steamy stuff like “Nip/Tuck” on DVD. And best of all, the proof of identification required.

Yep, in the states you can hire racy shows like “Nip/Tuck” – not to mention a large barrage of soft porn movies; usually starring either Kari Wuhrer or Shannon Tweed – before you can drink and vote. It just goes to the show you… even the American government believes masturbation is a lot more important than superfluous things like voting for our next leader.

But enough wanking on about waking, and onto the show…

For those who haven’t owned a TV in the last five years, “Nip/Tuck” is a hot little cable series starring Julian McMahon and Dylan Walsh as two hotshot plastic surgeons who, in addition to running a busy little practice, have to deal with their always-eventful home lives. McMahon’s the horndog who screws a different babe every night, whilst Walsh’s the straight-laced one who wishes he were screwing his wife every night (when she wishes she was screwing his business partner).

In Season 4, the boys are slowing growing apart- not just because of the old love triangle thing, but because of an organ harvesting operation that threatens their business – whilst Walsh’s son, Matt, takes up with McMahon’s ex-squeeze. Eww and Hot all at the same time…much like the rest of the show.

If you love the show, you’ll still love it… it hasn’t really dipped at all, something most shows tend to do by about the fourth or fifth season. Its still just as intriguing, sexy, thrilling and captivating as it always was. That’s not to say there aren’t some less exciting episodes amongst the bunch – to be honest, I think the ‘celebrity guest star’ thing is a bit distracting; everyone from Jacqueline Bissett, Larry Hagman, Alanis Morissette, Mo’Nique, Rosie O’Donnell, to Brooke Shields appears in this latest season – but thankfully the good outweighs the bad.

Deleted scenes, a gag reel and a couple of featurettes serve as extras.
