Contrary to what you read about Brad and Angie, they don’t give away yellow boys that often. Once a year in fact. And if you want one, you sure as David Silver better have impressed someone over there at the Kodak theatre (or, in the very least, have found the voting member with the most liver spots and wonkiest hip). I’m guessing, since those nomination cards look rather squat, the Academy ain’t too fond of those actors with longish names either – Shohreh Aghdashloo might is sleeping right through the nominations this morning – and if you’ve a ‘Barbra’ or ‘Streisand’ making up part of your John or Jane Hancock, it’s safe to say your bribe’s no use here.
It’s Oscar time again!
The carpets are being steam-cleaned. Joan Rivers is having her face dripped back on. Sandra Bullock’s out looking for a good suit for her ‘friend’ Ryan. Ryan Seacrest is practicing his Taylor Lautner come-on lines in the mirror. Mel Gibson’s looking forward to getting all of Burger King to himself that night. And Jonathan Taylor Thomas is… well, I don’t know where the heck he is.
But we’re not interested in those down below, are we!? Like an overpaid publicist with a phone so small it slips into her teeny wonder-bra, we’re only interested in who’s going to be on the podium! Who wants The Losers! (Seemingly not the cinemagoing public… Warner Bros are still trying to pay off that bitch). Too early to tell who those winners will be (You’d have to be either a genius, a psychic or someone super-intelligent like Seann William Scott to pick all of those that’ll be first through the gate!) but at least now we know which names will be read out from the nomination form.
