The anticipated “Ocean’s 8” movie is set to be released on June 8, 2018.
Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, Sarah Paulson, Rihanna, Anne Hathaway, Helena Bonham Carter, Mindy Kaling and Awkwafina are set to star in the all-female “Ocean’s Eleven” spinoff, with Gary Ross attached to direct.
In the film, Bullock will play the ex-con sister of George Clooney’s “Oceans” character Danny Ocean. She and her right-hand woman (Blanchett) will form a team of thieves to steal a necklace from the Met Ball in order to frame a villainous gallery owner.
Ross penned the script with Olivia Milch. Steven Soderbergh is producing. Susan Ekins is executive producing.
“Ocean’s 8” will open against Paramount’s Transformers Bumblebee spinoff film.
