You’re probably all familiar with Olivia Wilde, right? She’s that thin, sparkly-eyed beauty that played the alien girl in “TRON Legacy” (You’ll also recognize her from “The OC”, “Alpha Dog” and “The Next Three Days”). Boys seem to like her. I can see why. And oh… I can also see, as apporpriate a surname as it may be, why the young girl dropped her real surname ‘Cockburn’. Ahem.
Moving right along…
Wilde’s made a lot of filmmakers and studios, and no doubt horny teenagers, rise and take notice lately, and is seemingly – after doing a quick AskJeeves – being offered everything and anything under the sun at the moment. She’s in the new Jon Favreau blockbuster “Cowboys & Aliens”, which looks decent, and she’s in Alex Kurtzman’s “Welcome to the People” with Chris Pine. I’m guessing she’d also be back for a “Tron 3” if they made that. Latest thing Wilde’s linked to is a reboot of “Tomb Raider” – in which, of course, she’d play busty adventurer Lara Croft.
While the actress hasn’t been approached to take on the role made famous by Angelina Jolie (and the chick at my local mall), she does sound interested. If she does get the gig, I think it’s safe to say – and I’m a female, so I can say this – she’ll need padding.
