Sci-fi thriller “Arrival”, starring Amy Adams, Jeremy Renner, Forest Whitaker and Michael Stuhlbarg, will be released on November 11.
Previously titled “Story of Your Life”, the film is directed by Denis Villeneuve from Eric Heisserer’s script, based on Ted Chiang’s short story.
Adams stars as a military linguist who’s trying to determine the intentions of aliens who land on Earth. She begins experiencing vivid flashbacks that become the key to unlocking the true purpose of their visit.
The film will open against Naomi Watts thriller “Shut In”, director Ang Lee’s “Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk”, Universal’s comedy “Almost Christmas”, and Fox’s “Rules Don’t Apply”.
