Paramount not sure about Terminator : Genisys sequel yet

While those overseas numbers for the film are obviously music to Paramount’s ears, a sequel to this year’s “Terminator” reboot still hasn’t officially been greenlit.

Talking to Screen Rant, “Terminator : Genisys” actor JK Simmons – who played the cop, O’Brien, in the movie – says the hope is that the next two films in the proposed trilogy will happen but at this stage there’s no movement.

“[There’s] nothing yet. We are hopeful that we’re going to make a couple more, but the trigger has not been officially pulled.”

When Paramount first announced “Terminator : Genisys” they revealed that it would be the first in a new trilogy of films, with the sequels due 2017 and 2019, respectively.
