Paul Giamatti and Toby Jones have boarded sci-fi thriller “Morgan”.
Boyd Holbrook is also in negotiations to join the cast, which already includes Kate Mara and Anya Taylor-Joy.
“Morgan” is the directorial debut of Luke Scott (that’s right, the son of Ridley Scott, who will produce).
Seth W. Owen penned the 2014 Blacklist script about a corporate risk management consultant (Mara) who is summoned to a remote research lab to determine whether or not to terminate an at-risk artificial being (Taylor-Joy).
Giamatti has nabbed the role of a psychologist who has trouble relating to people. Jones, meanwhile, will play the chief scientist in charge of the facility. Should Holbrook secure the role, he will be a nutritionist at the facility.
Elishia Holmes and Michael Schaefer will produce with Scott. George Heller will exec produce.
