IESB.net has confirmed that Michael Bay will wrap “Transformers” and then head straight into the video-game cum film “Prince of Persia” (was never a big fan of it myself; in fact, I think I returned it) for Disney and Producer Jerry Bruckheimer.
The film, titled “The Prince of Persia : The Sands of Time”, follows an adventurous prince who teams up with a rival princess to stop an angry ruler from unleashing a sandstorm that could destroy the world.
The movie, due out in ’09, will apparently blend elements from the game with a whole new story – a’la “Pirates of the Caribbean”.
