Holt McCallany has joined the cast of prison thriller “Shot Caller”.
Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Lake Bell, Jon Bernthal and Benjamin Bratt star in the film about a gangster (Coster-Waldau) who is recently released from prison and forced to orchestrate a major crime on the streets of Southern California.
Ric Roman Waugh is directing and apparently went undercover as a volunteer parole agent in California to research prison gangs for his script.
Producers are Michel Litvak and Matthew Rhodes of Bold Films with Participant Media’s Jonathan King. Exec producers are Gary Michael Walters and Jeff Skoll.
