Quentin Tarantino’s western will star Treat Williams!

Seems Quentin Tarantino is still putting in some voluntary hours with Search and Rescue. The filmmaker, renowned for ‘bringing back the greats’, is dusting off another legend and plonking him back in front of a AG-HMC80PJ.

Tarantino has a real knack for resurrecting movie careers. Look at what he did for John Travolta in “Pulp Fiction”!? Robert Forster with “Jackie Brown”!? Heck, the late David Carradine with “Kill Bill”!? I love it that Tarantino does that; he’s got the power and the influence to go after who he wants, not who the studio wants, and it’s bloody marvelous.

Next actor Tarantino wants to make a floating head of for a one-sheeter? Treat Williams! – yep, Doc ‘Andy’ Brown from “Everwood”, kids.

Those of us over thirty know that Williams (who had a small role as James Franco’s pop in “127 Hours”) is a damn good actor, and a sure-as-shit versatile one of that; check out “Prince of the City”, “J.Edgar Hoover” (he played Hoover!), “Once Upon A Time in America”, “Dead Heat”, “The Phantom”, “Things to Do in Denver When You’re Dead” and, of course, his much-beloved turn as the big city doc who relocates to the sleepy town of ‘Everwood’ in the popular WB series of the same name.

What’s Tarantino planning to do with Williams? Well, according to The Playlist, the “Inglourious Batserds” helmer wants to put the Conneticut-born actor in the Spaghetti Western he’s prepping. The flick, , will shoot in Italy later this year.

Actor Franco Nero spilled the beans, saying “The film will be called ‘The Angel, The Bad And The Wise’ and is a tribute to Sergio Leone. It’s a movie that contains humor, lots of action, but also a great plot,” Nero said. “We have already been signed by a dozen people who will be part of project. Among the filmmakers involved include Quentin Tarantino , Keith Carradine, Treat Williams, fifteen people in all Americans who want to do this movie and so we are trying to produce it outside of Italy.”

Aint it Cool News later added that the film is indeed Tarantino’s next and that Christoph Waltz (“Inglourious Basterds”) is onboard to star.

Waltz is great… but Williams!? Hell yeah!? Keith Carradine!? Nice!

Who else would you love to see Tarantino use in one of his movies?
