Quick News – August 10, 2010

One for her, One for him. The first photos of Elsa Pataky and a newly goatee’d Dwayne Johnson as they appear in “Fast Five” have appeared online. As Moviehole reported in July, Pataky is playing Elena, who “is said to be “a Hard and still gorgeous law enforcement agent. Has a harsh background from a grueling ghetto. Is known for her ability to keep her morals in tact.” She forms a unique bond with fugitive Dom (Vin Diesel) since they’ve both lost their loved ones – in her case, her police-officer husband who Reyes murdered. It’s a difficult relationship, being that their both working on opposite sides, but like Dom & Brian in the original, they ultimately unite to bring down a common enemy.” Johnson is playing an agent, hot on the heels of hot-wheelin’ fugitives Brian and Dom.

It’s all out in the rainforest, some of it is at night. There is a big hunt sequence that’s got a lot of flying, a lot of banshee stuff, riding direhorses, very high-energy, high-impact action.
