WATCH THE SKY…LINE

A new clip from “Skyline”, the science-fictioner featuring ‘Milo from 24’, is up at Coming Soon. Was supposed to see the film early next week but the print has mysteriously been delayed for unnamed reasons (abducted?).

HARRY GETS HAMMERED

Here’s your first look at wand-wrangler Daniel Radcliffe in “The Woman in Black”. I was recently saddened to discover that Kelly LeBrock would not be reprising her role from the first film in this… oh wait… it’s not a sequel? sorry!? What about Stevie Wonder? He doing the tunes, no?

HOW DID CONAN’S FIRST NIGHT RATE?

‘Conan’ is a success on his first night! Yep, big surprise there. Still, great that the Irish jokester got one up on Jay Leno at long last. In a press release, TBS wrote : “Conan O’Brien’s new TBS talk show was a hit with young viewers Monday night, delivering an audience with a projected median age of just 30. Conan – which featured guests Seth Rogen, Lea Michele and Jack White – was watched by 2,451,000 adults 18-34; 3,285,000 adults 18-49; and 4,155,000 viewers”

TWO MORE HEAD TO CROWE’S ZOO

Patrick Fugit (“Almost Famous”) and Elle Fanning (“The Curious Case of Benjamin Button”) have joined the cast of my must-see-movie-of-2011, “We Bought a Zoo”. The film, of course, reunites Fugit with his “Almost Famous” writer/director Cameron Crowe. There’s sure to be hugs. And maybe even tears. (More…)

ALIEN RESURRECTED – TODAY!

So much for the “it’s gonna be delayed” rumours! Visual FX designer Henry South tweeted today, “Started work on alien prequel today!! Absolutely stunning. Worth waiting till late 2011 for peeps!” I wasn’t going to hang around for 2011, but I guess I will now.

CLASSIC TRAILER OF THE WEEK :

Just One Of The Guys (1985)
One of the few teen comedies of the mid ’80s that’s actually had legs and, for that matter, garnered semi-positive reviews. Boob jokes and social commentary unite in the tale of a young woman (Joyce Hyser) who, convinced she’s not going to get anywhere in female form, decides to start dressing up as a guy. It works. A VHS classic!
