Tina Fey

Tina Fey lends her wondrously entertaining comic stylings to Dreamworks Animation’s latest, “Megamind”. Ashley Hillard caught up with the “30 Rock” fave to talk about voicing a ‘toon.

Do you like the look of your character?

I really like how she looks, I like her short hair and I like that she’s brunette, and that she’s an ample cam, I’m not gonna lie to you. I like how she’s drawn. I found the recording sessions very freeing because you can really try things. If you’re filling something or improvising and wasting film or the camera man’s time… with this, when you’re recording stuff first, you can try different stuff and it doesn’t matter how you LOOK while you’re doing it…I found it very fun.

If you had to choose, who would you go for Megamind or Metroman?

I would go for Megamind because he’s very smart, and I really do find the purple under tones of his blue skin very attractive, I really do. I think he has beautiful, beautiful skin. And he’s smaller than me. I like that. I could beat him up.

Have you a life-long nemesis that has pushed you?

I don’t have a nemesis but I have a series of hundreds of small enemies. Everyone I meet I assume is out to get me and that fuels my fire.

What would Palin say about Megamind?

He needs to be destroyed!

You’ve become quite famous, any chance you’ll disappear into obscurity one day?

I think I oughta be escorted back by security pretty soon, I don’t think it’ll be a retreat, it’ll be a police escort.
