Ralph couldn’t Waite for Ace Ventura 3

“Carnivale” star joins the cast of second sequel

Ralph Waite, possibly best known for his role as Reverend Norman Balthus on TVs “Carnivale” or as John Walton on TV classic “The Waltons”, has joined the cast of the new “Ace Ventura” sequel.

Directed by David Mickey Evans (“The Sandlot”, “The Final Season”) the new film sees Ace Ventura’s son (Josh Flitter) step up to the plate when his mother is wrongly arrested for stealing a baby Panda. Waite, whose other films include “The Bodyguard”, “Cliffhanger” and “Homeward Bound” (he voiced the role of ‘Shadow’), will play Grandpa in the movie.

Filming in Florida, the pic co-stars Emma Lockhart (who played young Rachel Dawes in “Batman Begins”) and Reed Alexander (TVs “Will & Grace”). Universal will distribute.
