Rankin back in business

From “Shaker Heights” to “Infestation”

Looks like one of the former “Project Greenlight” guys has scored a job – believe me, that’s saying something. We’ve heard little from the winning directors since their winning films unspooled… so much so that I’ve been looking for their mug shots on the side of milk cartons.

Kyle Rankin, one of the Season 2 winning team (behind “The Battle of Shaker Heights”), has been found.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Rankin’s directing a comedic horror movie – which he wrote – from Icon Prods called “Infestation”. It’ll star Christopher Marquette from “Fanboys” and “Alpha Dog”.

Heavy Duty Entertainment partners Rhoades Rader (“Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story”) and Jeff Balis (“Shaker Heights”) are producing with T.J. Sakasegawa (“Lake Placid 2”) alongside Bruce Davey of Icon Prods.

Now if only someone will hire the talented John Gulager (what he did with $3 million bucks on “Feast” was amazing!), hey?

Fantastic footage not ready?
