Summit tells us that they’ve decided on a release date for “The Twilight Saga : Breaking Dawn Part 2” – and if the world doesn’t end, it may even be released (won’t the Twihards be pissed if the world decides to spontaneously combust just before those first midnight screenings!?).

No doubt my wife will have worked out just “how many sleeps” that is already.

Still no confirmation on yesterday’s “Twilight” news, that “Pushing Daisies”‘ Lee Pace had been cast in the film.

Actor Lee Pace, best known for his role as Ned on the short-lived but much-loved “Pushing Daisies”, is reportedly in talks to join the cast of the “The Twilight Saga : Breaking Dawn”.

The actor, seen recently in “Make-me-Puke”, er, “Marmaduke”, would play Edward’s (Robert Pattinson) best friend, Garrett, according to E’s Ted Casablanca.

Says Casablanca, “The character is described in the script as a tall, nomadic vampire with sandy hair that he keeps tied back with a leather thong. Garrett is also penned as being down-to-earth, laid-back, rugged and having a lightness and element of humor about him.”

Gossip Cop, however, claims ”no one has been cast, and a rep for Pace informs us the actor has not been approached.”

Guess we’ll find out soon enough.

“Breaking Dawn”, directed by “Dreamgirls” helmer Bill Condon, will begin shooting in October in Louisiana and Vancouver.
