Release Date News : Man of Steel Delayed; Cabin, Dredd dated

Man of Steel

The ‘Superman’ reboot has been pushed back six months. Warners had planned to release the film on December 2012, but the studio will now open the superhero movie on June 14, 2013. No word on why “Man of Steel” is opening Summer 2013 instead, but it could simply because the studio has more confidence in the film now.

Cabin in the Woods

The long-delayed ‘haunted cabin’ movie is finally getting a release.. though not till April 13, 2012. The film is wildly imaginative and intensely horrific, toying with every convention of its genre while at the same time raising their stakes exponentially. Chris Hemsworth stars as a young professional who visits a quaint cabin in the woods with a group of friends and ends up scratching the surface of something so massive and horrific that they can only begin to fathom it as time quickly runs out.

Dredd

The “Judge Dredd” reboot is on for September 21, 2012, according to BOM. The Karl Urban starrer will do battle with “Hotel Transyvlania”, the animated offering that features the voices of Adam Sandler and Friends.
