Dick Dreyfuss is about to experience a Close Encounter of the Ponzi kind.
The legendary star of “Jaws” and “Stakeout” will play Bernie Madoff, Madoff, the former stockbroker and fiancier convicted of fraud in the Ponzi scheme that is considered to be the largest financial fraud in U.S. history, in a new ABC drama.
The Ben Robbins’ penned multi-ep drama will be based on the book “The Madoff Chronicles: Inside the Secret World of Bernie and Ruth”, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
It’s believed ABC are looking for an equally high-profile thesp to play Ruth.
