Marvel have always been on the ball when it comes to cool, big-name casting – just look at some of the names they’ve secured for the films they’ve already done! – but this one might just take the cake.
Robert Redford, the king of Sundance, is in talks to join “Captain America : The Winter Soldier”.
Deadline say the veteran actor and filmmaker, who next appears in “The Company You Keep”, will play a senior member of the S.H.I.E.L.D organization; it’s a part, they say, that might carry on into other Marvel comic book movies.
This is quite the coup for Marvel and the film, mainly because Redford doesn’t work much these days and when he does, it’s on his own projects.
The “Captain America” sequel has just been classified ‘must see’.
