Robert Townsend will helm the latest Brewster’s Millions adaptation

Robert Townsend is set to direct a new version of “Brewster’s Millions”.

George Barr McCutcheon’s original story was published in 1902 as a book. It was then made into a play in 1906 and made into a film 10 times.

The adaptation follows Monty Brewster, who will inherit $1 billion, but only if he spends $100 million in one week. If not, he will end up with nothing more than the clothes on his back.

Joseph and Jack Nasser will produce.

Producers of the new “Brewster’s Millions” are Joseph and Jack Nasser.

APA will handle domestic sales of the film.
