Rodney Dangerfield : The Movie

Hot on the heels of the Richard Pryor biopic, comes news that another legendary funnyman is to be the subject of a life yarn.

Rodney Dangerfield, the portly wisecracker who starred in such classics as "Caddyshack", "Back to School" and "Easy Money", will have his true tale told on screen, thanks to producers Howard and Karen Baldwin – who’ve snapped up the rights to the late comic’s life from Dangerfield’s widow, according to Variety.

The film will be based in part on Dangerfield’s autobiography "It’s Not Easy Bein’ Me".

Producers Howard and Karen Baldwin have a another biopic in the works – one on Jackie Robinson/Branch Rickey, with Robert Redford as Rickey.
