“Knocked Up” star wearing the mask
According to some unnamed sources within Columbia Pictures, The Los Angeles Times is today reporting that alongside producer Neal H. Moritz, Seth Rogen is going to be writing, and likely starring in the long gestating “The Green Hornet”.
Over the years, there have been a huge number of actors and directors attached to the project, including George Clooney, Jet Li, Kevin Smith, Jake Gyllenhaal, Michel Gondry & Jason Scott Lee – so to see Rogen’s name pop up now is…. well, interesting to say the least. I absolutely loved “The 40 Year Old Virgin” & “Knocked Up”, and Rogen was a big part of the reason in both, but this is kind of outta left field.
UPDATE – “Variety” has now confirmed that Rogen is in final discussions to write, star and executive produce “Green Hornet”, alog with “Superbad” pal, Evan Goldberg.
