Rooney Mara and Nicholas Hoult will play lovers in “The Discovery”.
The film is set in a world one year after the existence of the afterlife has been scientifically proven and centres on the son (Hoult) of the man responsible for this discovery. Mara plays a woman he falls in love with whose life is tinged by a tragic past.
Charlie McDowell is directing from a script he co-wrote with Justin Lader with production planned to kick off in January in Rhode Island.
