Rosemarie DeWitt Heads to the Promised Land

Last we heard about Matt Damon and John Krasinski’s “Promised Land”, who they both wrote by the way, was that Focus Features and Participant Media had landed the flick with Gus Van Sant directing.

Well, it’s obviously been a while, and now it’s being reported (via Deadline) that former “Mad Men” actress Rosemarie DeWitt has landed the female lead in the film.

The film follows Damon and Krasinski who play rival corporate executives. Damon plays a sales executive who arrives in a small town only to have his whole life called into question. Production is set to begin next month. No word yet on what DeWitt’s role actually is, but that’ll probably be released soon.

DeWitt will next be seen in “The Odd Life of Timothy Green” and “Neighborhood Watch”.
