Despite widely reported rumours that Pierce Brosnan has the role in the bag, Russell Crowe seems to have now put his hand up to play ‘Cable’ in the “Deadpool” sequel.
Notoriously outspoken “Deadpool” creator Rob Liefield reached out to Crowe on Twitter to let him know he would love to see the Oscar Winning actor to play his creation. While Crowe didn’t exactly respond favourably to the suggestion that someone of his calibre should “read” for the role, he did start to warm up the idea pretty quickly – even tweeting star Ryan Reynolds to see if he can’t make it happen.
“Deadpool 2” is set to go before the cameras May 1st in Vancouver so it is possible the producers already have their Cable.
