Caffeinated Clint
Having been lounging with the laffers the last couple of years (“Just Friends”, “Adventureland”, “The Proposal”) it might be good to see Ryan Reynolds put his funnybone-on-ice for a while.
The actor, who has hidden the smirk for films like “Smokin’ Aces” and “The Amityville Horror”, will star in “Buried,” playing a civilian contractor who’s kidnapped in Iraq and awakens buried in a coffin in the desert, armed only with a cell phone, a candle and a knife.
Rodrigo Cortes will direct a script by Chris Sparling; production will begin this month in Barcelona.
In addition to the strong of comedies listed above, Reynolds appeared as ‘Deadpool’ in the action blockbuster “X-Men Origins : Wolverine”. He’s expected to reprise that role for a spin-off.
