San Andreas helmer, Fast & Furious producer doing military action-adventure

Brad Peyton, director of Summer smash “San Andreas”, has signed to direct a high-concept action adventure about the military for Sony, says The Hollywood Reporter.

“Iron Man” writing team Art Marcum and Matt Holloway penned the screenplay.

The film, the plot of which is being kept under wraps, will be produced by action-movie vets Neal H. Moritz and Ori Marmur through their Original Film banner. Peyton and partner Jeff Fierson will executive produce.

Next for Peyton is “Rampage”, starring “San Andreas” lead Dwayne Johnson, based on the video game of the same name.
