See ya in da lobbies! Apatow snags Albert!

Earlier today we reported that saucy sexpot Megan Fox (“Transformers”, “Jennifer’s Body”) was set to join Paul Rudd and Leslie Mann in writer/director Judd Apatow’s untitled “Knocked Up” spin-off. As does typically happen with films deep into casting, another name was announced for the film this afternoon.

Albert Brooks.

The brilliant funnyman, forever remembered in our abode for his turns in “Lost in America”, “Broadcast News” and “The Muse”, will play Rudd’s father in the film. One can already imagine how great that’s going to be!

Brooks recently followed up a guest stint on TV hit “Weeds” with a turn in Ryan Gosling thriller “Drive”, out later this year, but his last appearance in a live-action film was in 2005’s “Looking for Comedy in the Muslim World”.

The untitled “Knocked Up” spin-off hits cinemas in June of 2012.
