What a big day for sequels!
Here’s a few happenings in follow-up land that have hit the web over the past 24 hours.
THIS IS SPINAL TAP 2
The cast and crew of the ’80s classic “This is Spinal Tap” will reband for a sequel. Rob Reiner will direct and play filmmaker Marty DiBergi alongside fictional band members David St. Hubbins (Michael McKean), Derek Smalls (Harry Shearer), and Nigel Tufnel (Christopher Guest). The film, targeting a March 10 2024 release, sees manager Ian Faith’s widow inheriting a contract that says Spinal Tap owed them one more concert and she will sue them if they don’t do it. [More…]
