Super Troopers 2
The long-awaited sequel to “Super Troopers” is finally coming – and sooner than most sceptics might suspect. “There is, there is going to be a sequel”, Broken Lizard Kevin Heffernan tells KXL. “It’s actually happening right now. We just sealed the deal with Fox, who owns the rights. The script is written, and later in the year we’ll do the shooting.”

Another “Saw” film is reportedly in development at Lionsgate. According to Bloody Disgusting, the eighth instalment in the money-spinning horror franchise is “incredibly active”. Apparently there are “rumblings of a remake” – which would cheese a lot off, no?
The Purge 2
James DeMonaco will return to direct the horror sequel, says Variety. Jason Blum will return to produce, along with most of the other suits on the original. No word on whether any players from the original will return.
Star Wars Episode VII
A casting call, issued in the UK, for what’s apparently the seventh “Star Wars” movie would seem to indicate that the lead characters aren’t Solo’s or Skywalkers, as rumoured. The two main parts are a male aged 19-23 and a female aged 17-18. The female is said to be “Always a survivor, never a victim, she remains hopeful that she can move away from this harsh existence to a better life. She is always thinking what she can do to move ahead,” while the male, who has grown up without his father’s influence, it’s said “Without the model of being a man, he doesn’t have the strongest sense of himself. Despite this he is smart, capable and shows courage when needed.”
