Sequel News : Wolverine 3, Bridget Jones 3, A Few Less Men, Prometheus 2

There’s a fairly good chance that the next “Wolverine” movie may – like the first two films in the series – shoot in Australia, but star Hugh Jackman remains non-committal at this stage. Speaking to The Herald-Sun’s Confidential, the Aussie actor would only say “Maybe. I don’t know. We’ll see”. The new movie, which will reunite Jackman with his “X-Men” co-star Patrick Stewart, will be the theater actor cum movie megastar’s last hurrah as the superheroic Wolverine.

A sequel to the Aussie comedy “A Few Best Men” – directed by Stephan Elliot and starring Xavier Samuel, Kevin Bishop, Kris Marshall, Olivia Newton-John and Rebel Wilson – is in the works. In “A Few Less Men”, Samuel, Bishop and Marshall’s characters are forced to transport the coffin carrying their friend across the desert after the plane they’re on crashes in the sand. Peter Templeman will direct.

Is a third “Bridget Jones” movie back in the works? According to reports out of the UK, the movie – which was set to go a couple of years ago but canned due to script issues – isn’t just in the works, it’s already filming! Filming reportedly began during an Ed Sheeran concert at Croke Park in Dublin last month, with Renee Zellweger’s body double was spotted sitting on the shoulders of a mystery man. A source tells The Sun, “There was no risk in filming Renee at a busy gig. But they knew the cat would be out the bag the minute people saw her at the show. Renee’s body double and the cameramen were in and out of the crowd as quickly as possible. These are the first moments in early filming for the new movie. None of the show’s main talent have been involved yet.” According to the outlet, Emma Thompson rewrote the script so it was fit to go. (The Sun)

Ridley Scott’s next will likely be a sequel to “Prometheus”. While it’s rumoured that the movie – which will bring back Michael Fassbender and Charlize Theron’s characters from the original – would begin filming in January, it’s not expected to go until later 2016. (EW)
