Sequels to X-Men : The Last Stand in development

Though the success or failure of this June’s “X-Men : First Class” will obviously have a lot to do with whether or not this one actually makes it to the starting gate or not, “X-Men” producer Lauren Schuler-Donner says there’s a potential “X-Men 4” in the pipeline, one that would ostensibly reunite the cast of the first three films.

Talking to Obsessed With Film, Donner said they’ve mapped out a further two “X-Men” movies.

“We took the treatment to Fox and they love it… And X4 leads into X5.″

Donner also touched on “Deadpool”, which has been in development for quite a while, near as long as Ryan Reynolds has been attached to play the title character.

“It’s a total reboot… We’re either going to pretend that didn’t happen or mock it, which he could. It’s insane, it’s definitely comedy, but it’s an R script, it’s really irreverent and violent. Right away, we’re out of the X-Men world”.

But back to “X-Men 4” and “X-Men 5”, who would you like to see in those? Is there still interest in Wolverine, Rogue and so on? You tell me – you know I’ve never read many comic books – is there more left to tell there?
