Sharon Stone headed Down Under

Sharon Stone is heading down under. [Now quickly move on Clint before you make one of those so-bad-it-stings jokes].

The "Catwoman" and "Basic Instinct 2" siren will star in one of the films to feature in the upcoming "Nightmares and Dreamscapes" series from horror-master Stephen King. She arrives to shoot her scenes in October, says the AFR.

"Umney’s Last Case", to co-star William H.Macy, is one of the better yarns in the "Nightmare and Dreamscapes" series. It tells of Clyde Umney, a private detective who discovers that he is actually the character in a book written by Samuel Landry. Landry arrives and wants to swap places with him – and does!, seeing Umney suddenly finding himself living as a real person, not a storybook character, and must learn many things we take for granted.

Max Beck, owner of that lovely Kalaf Alaton-designed mansion on The Esplanade in Brighton is in talks with the filmmakers to hand over his smashing home to the film for a couple of weeks.

Rising newcomer Bert LaBonte, last seen in the play "The Inner Sanctum" and also the co-star of "Evil Never Dies" starring Thomas Gibson and Katherine Heigl, has been approached to play Otis Reddding in one of the other "Nightmares and Dreamscapes" films.

There will be eight one-hour episodes of the series.
