“Freddy’s Dead” and “Tank Girl” director Rachel Talalay (now helming episodes of “Sherlock”) was rumoured earlier today to be on the shortlist to direct Marvel’s “Captain Marvel” movie.
The film, which Brie Larson was announced to lead this weekend at Comic-Con, is not only being headlined by a super femme but is penned by two females – Meg LeFauve and Nicole Perlman – so it’s almost a given that a woman will be at the helm of the Nikon on it.
I'm not on the list but I believe @rtalalay is and I couldn't imagine a better director for it https://t.co/JeiXzvufP4 — Lexi Alexander (@Lexialex)

Shortly after, Alexander noted that she was wrong but put in a vote for the deserving Talalay anyway.
Apparently I was wrong, which is why ppl shouldn't base anything on my tweets.Nevertheless, she should be on the list https://t.co/cK8t1RLC8V
