Sherlock Holmes 3 coming together

SHH-FP-007 ROBERT DOWNEY JR. as Sherlock Holmes in Warner Bros. PicturesÕ and Village Roadshow PicturesÕ action-adventure mystery ÒSherlock Holmes,Ó distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures.

It’s been relatively quiet on the “Sherlock Holmes” front, but seems Guy Ritchie – director of the first two Robert Downey Jr/Jude Law starrers – is still planning to do a threequel to the 2009 hit.

Ritchie’s writing partner/producer Lionel Wigram tells IGN that “We’re working on a Sherlock Holmes 3 script. I think we would all love to do one if we could come up with something that really was really going to knock it out of the park and was going to be the best of the three. So we’re working on that – it’s quite hard to do.”

Wigram says Downey and Law are “very very” keen on reprising Holmes and Watson for another film, but like everyone else don’t want to commit until a good script is locked in.

Ritchie’s latest “The Man from U.N.C.L.E” opens next week, and he’s about to begin on the first of his “King Arthur” movies.
