Sony has Jobs, but Leo’s not biting

Leonardo DiCaprio has bowed out of Sony’s Steve Jobs biopic and, according to The Hollywood Reporter, plans to take a “lengthy” break from acting altogether.

DiCaprio had been in talks to star in director Danny Boyle’s untitled Jobs project however had to turn the role down in order to film “The Revenant”. It had been hoped that he would return to shoot the film about the Apple co-founder after “The Revenant”, but now sources say the actor will take a break.

With DiCaprio out, Paramount reportedly has its eye on Christian Bale, Matt Damon, Ben Affleck and Bradley Cooper.

Based on Walter Isaacson’s book which Aaron Sorkin adapted, the pic will be produced by Scott Rudin, Guymon Casady and Mark Gordon.
