Spy vs Spy movie in the capable hands of Ritchie Cunningham!

Ah, ”Spy Vs. Spy”. I remember watching these little mini cartoon shorts on ”MADTV”. That was a great show. I still hate it got cancelled but eh, what can you do? A lot of great TV shows get cancelled nowadays. [Insert Grizzle Noise here]

Anyway, for all you MAD magazine & MadTV fans, you’re bound to remember the two characters Spy Vs. Spy who were well, two rival spies.

Anyhoo, Deadline reports that a live action big screen version is moving forward at Warner Bros. where Ron Howard will direct and David Koepp will produce with Howard and his Imagine Entertainment partner Brian Grazer.

The film will be a physical and highly visual action comedy with two spies going mano a mano in ruthless fashion. (Just what I like to hear!)

Koepp will oversee a script that will be written by John Kamps.

Several years ago, “Scooby Doo” scribe James Gunn was involved in a “Spy vs Spy” film. Gunn told Moviehole he had been involved in the film pre-“Scooby” back when “Meet the Parents” helmer Jay Roach was onboard to direct.
