The hunt continues for another young lass to share the screen with fellow funky female Daisy Ridley in “Star Wars Episode VIII” and today, The Wrap had a new name to add to the contenders list : Bel Powley.
Powley, known for her role in “Diary of a Teenage Girl”, is up for an unspecified role in the movie, according to Jeff Sneider on Meet the Movie Press. It’s not known whether Powley’s up for the same role Mbatha-Raw was rumored to have snagged or if it’s a different part altogether.
Some of the other names that have been floated in relation to roles in the film include Tatiana Maslany, Olivia Cooke, and Gina Rodriguez.
