Steenburgen joins Redford, Nolte pic A Walk in the Woods

Mary Steenburgen (“Last Vegas”) is joining Robert Redford and Nick Nolte in “A Walk in the Woods”, adapted from Bill Bryson’s best-selling memoir, Deadline reports.

Ken Kwapis (“He’s Just Not That Into You”) directs the movie, which tells of “an aging travel writer who decides to hike the 2,000-mile Appalachian Trail, accompanied by a long-estranged high school buddy he’s been avoiding for years.”

Nick Offerman, Kristen Schaal, and Emma Thompson are also onboard the film, adapted by “Little Miss Sunshine” and “Toy Story 3″ scribe Michael Arndt.

Steenburgen will play ”an alluring motel proprietress named Jeannie who tempts Bryson (Redford) when he and Katz (Nolte) stop into her establishment for the night”.

Steenburgen will also be back on the small screen, reprising her “Justified” role for the show’s sixth season.
