Stephen Root will join Zac Efron, Adam Devine, Aubrey Plaza and Anna Kendrick in “Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates”.
Root will play the father of titular brothers Mike (Efron) and Dave (Devine), who place an online ad to find plus-ones for a wedding, only to have the ad go viral. The hard-partying and immature brothers meet a pair of women who can out-party them.
Jake Szymanski is helming from Andrew J. Cohen and Brendan O’Brien’s script.
