Steve Jobs: The Movie? It’s already on its way.

I don’t think anyone expected it to take long, but there’s reports a movie about the life of Steve Jobs is already in the works.

Deadline‘s saying Sony Pictures has splashed megabucks – upwards of $1 million – to buy the rights to the forthcoming biography, written by former CNN anchor Walter Isaacson.

Mark Gordon, who produced “Saving Private Ryan” as well as TV’s “Grey’s Anatomy” and “Criminal Minds” is rumoured to be attached as producer.

The book version of “Steve Jobs: A Biography” will hit shelves October 24, a month ahead of its original schedule, after the Apple co-founder’s sad death earlier this week. It’s put together from more than 40 interviews with Jobs himself, and upwards of 100 interviews with his closest friends and colleagues, and has taken more than three years to write.

Are you eager to see Steve Jobs’ life played out on screen? And more importantly, who would play him?
