Storyboards revealed for Raimi’s Spider-Man 4

There’s two things I know – for sure – we’re never gonna see : One is a YouTube vid showing Melissa McCarthy and Justin Bieber going at it doggie-style in a Beverly Hills public restroom. The other is Sam Raimi’s “Spider-Man 4” – the movie that would’ve been had Sony opted not to instead reboot (vile word!) the sticky-fingered web-slinger’s big-screen adventures from Year Zero (via last year’s “The Amazing Spider-Man”).

Had director Raimi and Sony decided not to part ways on the fourth “Spider-Man” – which would’ve seen Tobey Maguire back in the red duds – we would’ve been privy to a story involving Peter Parker crossing paths with the villainous ‘Vulture’, to be played by John Malkovich, and Felicia Hardy/Black Cat, played by (future Catwoman) Anne Hathaway. And, from the looks of what’s unveiled below, Spidey would’ve also had to deal with some kind of demon… thing.

These storyboards for the film – leaked by artist Jeffrey Henderson – don’t suggest we missed too much from not seeing “Spider-Man 4” – though, personally, I’d have preferred to have seen Raimi’s series go out on a high rather than the dire “Spider-Man 3” – unless, of course, you’ve always wanted to see Spider-Man kiss someone right-way up.

(Now if only someone could release those “Batman Triumphant” storyboards featuring Jeff Goldblum’s Scarecrow).

Meanwhile, we’re only a year or so off from seeing the sequel to the reboot, “Amazing Spider-Man 2”.
