Newline is in talks with F. Gary Gray (“The Negotiator”) to direct their N.W.A biopic, “Straight Outta Compton.”
And If Newline gets Gray, he might be working with former N.W.A member and his “Friday” (Gray’s feature debut) star, Ice Cube again.
The biopic covers the formation of the rather infamous 80’s California hip hop group that included Eazy E and Dr. Dre. (who better make cameos!)
Gray had been one of the directors in contention to helm the “Captain America” sequel but has pulled himself out of the race to instead concentrate on the rapper bio.
