Studio slaves upload new Twelve Years TV Spot

Fox Searchlight have today released another TV spot for the upcoming “12 Years a Slave”.

Based on the true story of Solomon Northup’s autobiography of the same name, it follows the story of an educated and married black man living in New York in 1841, who finds himself kidnapped and forced into slavery.

Director Steve McQueen offers an unflinching view into slavery in a manner that is able to truly capture the horrors of the situation and without glamorizing it unnecessarily.

Chiwedtel Ejiofor (”Children of Men”) stars as Northup, and also features Michael Fassbender, Lupita Nyong’O, Benedict Cumberbatch, Paul Giamatti and Brad Pitt.

The film premiered at TIFF and opens in limited release on October 18th before expanding in the following weeks.

World War Z’s Marc Forster not returning for sequel. Surprise? No.
