The first Sully poster has landed

The first poster for director Clint Eastwood’s “Sully”, starring Tom Hanks, has debuted.

In the film, Hanks plays the titular Captain Chelsey “Sully” Sullenberger, the pilot who safely landed his plane full of 155 passengers in the Hudson River after both engines were knocked out by a flock of geese. The event became known as the “Miracle on the Hudson” and Sully was heralded a hero, however an investigation began to unfold that threatened to destroy his reputation and his career.

Aaron Eckhart co-stars as Sully’s co-pilot Jeff Skiles, and Laura Linney plays Sully’s wife Lorraine Sullenberger.

The film has a script by by Todd Komarnicki, based on Sullenberger and Jeffrey Zaslow’s book “Highest Duty: My Search for What Really Matters”.

“Sully” will be released in cinemas on September 9.
