For those that always have to finish this sentence: “Itsa me….”, here’s some good news. Nintendo of America have announced their partnership with Illumination to develop a Super Mario Bros. animated movie.
The news came via their Twitter account, also naming Shigeru Miyamoto and Chris Meledandri as producers. Not much else is known about the project at this early stage, but we’d bet on seeing the familiar faces of Princess Peach, Luigi, Toad, and Bowser in the film (I always chose Toad in Mario Kart, so I’m keen for him).
As long as it’s not another attempt at a live-action (see 1993), then I think we’ll all be happy.
