Super Troopers 2 release date hinted at

16 years after the original “Super Troopers”, the sequel is finally coming, with a release date locked in. While it hasn’t been officially announced, it’s thought to be April 20th, 2018, with actor Steve Lemme stating: “Here’s what I can tell you: It’s springtime and there’s a very obvious date, which happens to fall on a Friday this year.”

For those playing at home – April 20th, 2018 is a Friday, it’s in spring and it’s also 4/20, which will be a obvious date for the movie to be released.

Lemme (who plays MacIntyre “Mac” Womack) spoke to Seven Days about the new release, giving some new details about the upcoming sequel, including a gay sex scene between Mac and Farva:

Yeah, it’s terrible. I won’t give away why we’re doing it. But ever since Kevin’s tuna can — meaning his penis, which is wider than it is long — was shown in the first Super Troopers, in that powdered sugar shower scene, we realized that when you write stuff, you are gonna have to perform it one day. Making matters worse is that, usually when you shoot a love scene with somebody, it’s a closed set, because you want to be respectful. It’s intimate. But when Farva and Mac are in a love scene, it’s like a UFC steel-cage match. The entire crew was there and they’re shouting stuff, like when he gave me the shocker. The whole thing was very unpleasant.

The whole crew will be returning for the second movie, including Thorny” Ramathorn (Jay Chandrasekhar), “Rabbit” Roto (Erik Stolhanske) “Rod” Farva (Kevin Heffernan), as well as some new faces and celebrity cameos.

Check out the interview for more tidbits about what’s to come, but in the meantime let’s hope that the release date is confirmed soon!
