‘Susan’ returns for Veronica Mars movie. Might Adam Scott be returning, too then!?

Christina Lakin, the actress who played Susan, a friend of Carrie Bishop (Leighton Meester) in one episode of “Veronica Mars”, is returning for the Kickstarter-funded movie.

The Hollywood Reporter reminds us of Lakin’s pivotal season 1 (1.14, for those who don’t recall and wish to revisit the episode) storyline :

Lakin played Susan, a friend of Leighton Meester’s Carrie Bishop. During the episode, Carrie charges Veronica’s (Kristen Bell) favorite teacher, Mr. Rooks (Adam Scott), of having an affair with her. After he hires Veronica, she discovers that he had an affair with Carrie’s friend, Susan, who was pregnant and did not want to press charges.

Hmmm…interesting that they’d bring back Lakin for the movie. Sure, Okay, the film is set around Neptune’s 10 year high-school reunion, and it’s likely ‘Susan’ would be there… but why someone so unnecessary? It’s not like she’s one of the MILF guys or anything (to reference “American Pie”‘s memorable bit players) – There’s about 30 others I could think of who’d be on my wishlist before ‘Susan’. But I have a thought – could it be that Mr. Rooks, played by now-big star Adam Scott, is returning too? Is that the tie-in here? Scott and Rob Thomas have since worked together, on TV series “Party Hard”, so it’s a possibility, I guess?! One can hope!

The Rob Thomas written/directed “Veronica Mars” has so far announced Kristen Bell, Jason Dohring, Percy Daggs III, Chris Lowell and Enrico Colantoni for reprisals.
