The Golden Globe Nominations

The Golden Globe Nominations were announced today.

Any surprises? Well, yeah, I don’t think anyone saw Tom Cruise being nominated for his cameo in “Tropic Thunder” – not that he doesn’t deserve it; and did anyone else expect that Clint Eastwood’s “Gran Torino” might garner a few more nods? And where’s the love for “The Dark Knight” – did it not deserve a best picture nom?

Three pictures snagged most of the noms – the highly-overrated “Doubt”, DiCaprio/Winslet reunion “Revolutionary Road” and David Fincher’s “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button”.
